Dr. Kisha Davis as the 2026 AAFP President-Elect

Dr. Kisha Davis Wins as AAFP President-Elect at the 2025 Congress of Delegates!

Member Spotlight: Kisha Davis MD, MPH, FAAFP

Dr. Kisha Davis won President-Elect of the AAFP during the 2025 Congress of Delegates on Monday, October 6. She will be installed as president in the fall of 2026 at the Congress of Delegates in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Kisha's Current and recent roles:

  • Chief Health Officer, Montgomery County, Maryland
  • AAFP Board Member
  • Vice President of Health Equity, Aledade
  • Medical Director, CHI Health Care
  • Vice Chair, Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC)
  • White House Fellow

For over a decade, Davis has served in various capacities within the AAFP and its Maryland chapter. She served on the Commission on Federal and State Policy and the Commission on Governmental Advocacy.

Other roles included serving on the Membership Task Force, as a new physician member of the AAFP board of directors, and as convener of the 2019 National Conference of Constituency Leaders. Within the Maryland chapter, she served as foundation treasurer, member of the board of directors, and past president and board chair.

    As President-Elect:

    • Davis will serve on the AAFP Board's executive committee.
    • She will chair the Board's Subcommittee on Strategic Planning and Development and be a member of the Screening Subcommittee.
    • Her responsibilities will include representing the AAFP to both members and external groups, such as lawmakers.
