• Identify the signs and symptoms of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome in patients, utilizing current guidelines and diagnostic criteria.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and treatment strategies for managing Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
• Examine case-based patient scenarios to apply lessons learned.
• Create and document actionable plans to integrate the knowledge gained into their clinical practice, addressing potential barriers and evaluating outcomes using the T2P tool.
• Enhance their ability to provide high-quality care to patients with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, ultimately improving patient outcomes and contributing to public health efforts.

CME Credit Statement:

The AAFP has reviewed Identifying and Caring for Patients with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and deemed it acceptable for up to 1 Live AAFP Prescribed credit. Term of Approval is from 8/13/2025 to 8/13/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
