The University of Maryland Baltimore, offering pediatric physicians free virtual training

In partnership with the University of Maryland Baltimore-Center for Violence Prevention and the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is offering free virtual trainings on “Working with Patients Experiencing Trafficking Part 1" for physicians and pediatric healthcare providers.

This free virtual training includes:

  • Critical elements that define sex and labor trafficking.
  • Characteristics of sex and labor trafficking.
  • Common signs of human trafficking that medical providers may see in their practice.
  • Steps healthcare providers and their staff can take to learn more if a patient is showing signs that make them suspicious of a trafficking situation.

The same training session will be offered:
